The Cat is now out of the bag...

Yeh I've got a BIG mouth... and I love to share images I like, so just before I'm off on my next job I can give you the "skinny" (I'm soooooo street) on what I've been up to and what I'm doing in the near future!

I'm just back from Venice where amongst other things I was testing some simply STUNNING Olympus kit... now I don't say things lightly as those who know me will testify to... but I've just had an epiphany and I think I've found a new way to work that doesn't compromise quality in ANY WAY but makes logistics sooooo much easier and shooting less of a chore and negates the heavy lifting - I am knocking on a bit!!!

Now I can talk about this freely now simply becauseI can see that the ledgendary Mark Thachara at Olympus has made the announcement on Ephotozine...

Focus is just weeks away and of course you be able to see Team McGillicuddy on the SWPP stand every day...  However to mark our "special" relationship I'll be giving a Master class on the Olympus stand once a day... come and meet Team McGillicuddy and we'll tell you just why we love Olympus so, you may even get to see me dance! ;0)

So that's me, quick announcement done, I'm off to pack my bags once more and head on out into the wilds again... A talk to give, a fashion image to create and a celebrity to shoot... will I EVER learn???

Hi Damian,

I met you briefly during the Covention. I have been using the micro 4/3 system, to shoot weddings for over a year now. It is probably one of the best photographic decisions I have ever made. It has definitely removed the strain of carrying large weighty DSLRs all day and is an excellent tool for the photojounalistic aspect of my photography (due to the smaller size). The EP3, Panasonic 1.7 lens & the VF2 viewfinder are just amazing. With the EPL1, the camera i was using until last week, i could achieve sync speeds of 1/250 using wireless triggers. I have just acquired the EP3 so not had the opportunity to test it with my existing lighting but i am assumIng a similar speed. OM-D looks terrific but cost wise, for someone not privileged enough to have links with Olympus, the EP3 just looked a better prospect.

For speed of shooting, I have the beautiful E5. That baby is fast with a 2.8 12-60.

Look forward to seeing more of your work using the micro 4/3 gear.

Has anyone ever converted to Olympus from (throws holy water) Canon/Nikon?

Maybe posts like this one may persuade one or two :-)

Thanks

Anurag
